During all the games, Pressley finds something to do to entertain herself. She usually finds another little sister to play with--but here she is putting on her own little show!
Pressley has also begun playing soccer this year! We all had real doubts as to whether her desire to play would last, considering the fact that she is quite the "princess". But, we have all been pleasantly surprised at how much she has gotten into the game.
In early October, we had the joy of having our friends, Russ and Susie, here with us for the weekend. They are so much fun, and we loved their visit. Below is a picture of them at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
And here are some of the many beautiful glass-blown pumpkins the Garden had sitting out in the new "Edible Garden". After seeing these pumpkins in the gift shop, we were amazed that they had so many outside. Those things were expensive! Like $500 for the average size and $1200 for the giant one in the bottom right corner!
Last week we went to Burt's Pumpkin Farm with Beth, David, Will and Abby. It is between Dawsonville and Dahlonaga, and they have thousands of pumpkins for sale--every shape, size and color! We already had an orange one, so we got a white one and a "turban squash"!
Last, but not least, we went to the Tellus Museum Friday night and took Will to their Astronomy Workshop. Kids had to be at least 8 years old, so Will was the only one of our "grands" who qualified. He LOVED it! I'm not sure he learned anything new--since he already had a headfull of knowledge about Astronomy, but he was thrilled to be able to look at the moon in several different telescopes, learn how to chart the stars and planets, and see a huge globe that changed to show the appearance of the different planets and moons.
