Ralph has been computer literate for quite awhile now. For me, though, it is a new adventure- especially the world of blogging. We pride ourselves in being willing to accept change, so I decided I'd better "get with it". Journaling has been something enjoyable for me in recent years, so this should be fun!
We are in the stage of life in which our interests and energies are focused on the generation ahead of us, and the two behind us. I guess we are truly in the "Sandwich Generation". My cute little mom is doing amazingly well for her age, but is requiring a little more care than she has in the past. She has recently moved from her 4 bedroom home into a beautiful 1 bedroom retirement building. She also has given up her car (we are so proud of the fact that she made that decision on her own). So, we have the privelege of taking her to doctors' appointments, etc. I seriously mean that, after all she has done for all of us. Also, Amy has recently taken on a part-time job doing contract work for a law firm, so I have agreed to pick up Evan and Pressley on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that she can get in the hours she has committed to.
All in all, we are so blessed to be so close to our family.
So what's going on with this gas situation? Ralph searched all around today for a station that had some. All he found was one station with gas, but they had a long, long line. So, he has enough to get to and from church, but if he doesn't get some tomorrow, I guess we'll be spending some "at home time". Oh, well, I guess there's nothing wrong with that!
